How to Set Up a Podcast
How to set up a podcast:
First things first, what are podcasts?
A podcast is a series of digital media files which are distributed over the internet using syndicated feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. The latter term is: podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is typically called a podcaster.
A podcast is distinguished from other digital media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added. This is done by using an aggregator or feed reader capable of reading feed formats such as RSS or Atom. Even though this is how podcasts are, certain podcasters may also offer direct download or streaming of their content.
You might not know this, but podcasts use to once be just a fad among a few technologists. But then later, bloggers started becoming hip to the whole podcasting deal, and is now the future of the internet. I will not be surprised is one day podcasts will be known as a different name when technology catches up to the vision of millions of individuals and corporate broadcast studios that are operating from desktops and laptops, where daily, and even hourly transmissions are offered up live and archived for later downloading or streaming.
